A Little of This... A Little of That

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

My family and I have just finished opening up our Christmas presents. My daughter is happily playing with her new toys. Hubby is hooking up his latest electronics. My son is over-dosing on candy canes (I think he has eaten 3 in the past hour). And I am blogging about the books I just got, lol!

Technically, I had an idea of the book I was getting because my husband called while he was out shopping. Our conversation went a little something like this:

Hubby: The bookstore is closing and all the books are 40% off. Do you want anything?

Me: Ummmm... YEAH!!

Hubby: Okay, what do you want?

Me: Hold on, I need to consult my list.

Hubby: (Sigh)

Basically, I ended up asking for 5 books. He was looking and told me he couldn't find any but one. Well, the sly little devil fooled me because I got 4 in my stocking this morning.

What did you get for Christmas?

A hubbie who will go into the romance section of the book store and buy his wife romance books - give him and extra hug for that :-)
Ron was always bothered by the fact that my reading choice was romance, yet he would always get me gift certificates to Chapters, knowing what I would buy with them *g*

I didn't get any books...but I did get an Amazon a shopping I will go - LOL. I am selfishly using it on myself and not getting the kids anything more...I mean, I deserve some books don't I???!!!!

Aww, my family and friends do that to me all the time! They all complain about it being too hard to shop for me, so they either resort to being sneaky or giving me a giftcard... But I'm happy either way. :D

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, Jill! :)

The only book I got for Christmas was a cookbook! LOL! But that's okay... I like treating myself to a trip to the bookstore.

Hi Ladies! Yeah, my husband can be a sweetie when he wants too :)

I do wish I would have gotten a Gift Certificate too because there are some books coming out in January that I want to get. You can't go wrong with a GC.
