My Agenda for RT

As many of you know in a few days time I will be headed to Columbus Ohio for the annual Romantic Times Convention. I went last year and had a blast. I went by myself and made a ton of friends, many of whom I still keep in touch with throughout the year.

This year I am lucky enough to be rooming with Kristie J of Ramblings on Romance and Nath of Books, Books and More Books. We are all so excited about it. We have been emailing each other back and forth with lots of questions and comments.

I thought I would share with you which events I am excited about this year. There are a ton of events and if you want to you can view them all here. Otherwise this is just a highlight of those events I am certain to attend.

URBAN FANTASY: Alpha Males and the Kick-Ass Heroines Who Love Them
Hosted by: Richelle Mead, Keri Arthur, Shannon K. Butcher, S. J. Day (Sylvia Day), Jeaniene Frost, and Michelle Rowen.
This is a great group of authors. They are sure to have a lot of great fodder to talk about.

READER: Author Chat with Jim Butcher, MaryJanice Davidson and Charlaine Harris
Enough said. I have been desperately trying to catch up with the Sookie series. I am just starting All Together Dead. I am also up to book three in the Betsy series. I wanted so badly to have read Jim Butcher, but it just wasn't in the cards.

READER: Author Chat with Jennifer Crusie, Lani Diane Rich and Anne Stuart
Again. Enough said. And they are doing a signing later that day too.

READER: No Holds Barred with J.R. Ward and Jessica Andersen
This should be interesting. I am curious to see what Ward has to say about her upcoming books. Maybe she will talk about what direction Black Dagger Brotherhood is going. I heard she is going to have Lover Mine at RT. I hope she gives out copies!!

READER: Readers' Appreciation Workshop with Lora Leigh and Sylvia Day
They are going to have a Q & A session, exclusive sneak peeks at upcoming books and giveaways. Sounds like fun!

READER: Author Chat with Kelley Armstrong, Holly Black, Ally Carter and Melissa Marr I was going to try and read Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr and that never happened. *Sigh*

READER: Regency Bingo with Jane Austen and Sabrina Jeffries
I don't know Bingo, Pride and Pejudice spinoffs and Sabrina Jefferies. Sounds like fun to me!

READER: Martini Making with Louisa Edwards
I never did get a chance to read her books, but I am not one to pass up a chance to drink with an author, LOL.

I leave next Tuesday and this time I will have my laptop and iPhone with me. I plan on posting during the event to keep you all abreast of the fun. Stay tuned!!!

Since for years I've had all kinds of totally useless facts clogging up my brain, leaving less room for the stuff I NEED to know - what I'm really looking forward to is the Trivia contest. Hopefully I'll rock at that :-)
And SSSQQQUUEEAAALLL - less than a week to go now!!

Kris, be thinking of a date. Probably, towards the end of May would work for me.

Mollie, It will be really nice to meet you! I am trying to go through my books now for for the book swap. I can't bring to many though, because of restrictions on luggage (for flights).

Wendy - Hopefully, I will get the chance to meet you next year in LA!!

Leslie - One of these days we will have to get together :)

Lover of Romance - I do hope that at one point you will get the chance to go to RT. It really is a lot of fun. Every romance reader should experience it!

Nath and Kristie - The countdown is on!!!
