Status Update: Lack of Posting

I am sure a few of you have been wondering about the lack of posts up on my blog this week. I had been having problems with my Internet provider for some time now. It has actually gotten so bad that my husband got froggy and decided to do something about it. So he shopped around and decided on Bright House, which is a cable company that also provides phone and Internet service. They have a really good package combining all three, so that is who we went with. Unfortunately, the conversion process has not gone very smoothly. They were scheduled to come out on Tuesday to install everything but because of poor communication the service man was not able to complete his task because the prep work hadn't been completed.

Needless to say my husband was PISSED!!! If this was indicative of how great our new service was going to be, then he didn't want any part of it. So he called and chewed them out, letting this company know that there poor service was not acceptable. So they promised to fix the situation and gave us a DVR upgrade and one month of free service. So my husband was appeased and they are now scheduled to come out today.

Last night I get home and neither our Internet or our phones are working, but we did have TV. So my husband calls our phone company wanting to know why we don't have any phone service. Basically, it boils down to the mishap from earlier in the week when our service was supposed to have been switched but wasn't.

Anyway, the reason I am telling you all this is that as soon as we get our new Internet provider, hopefully (keep you fingers crossed) I shouldn't have any more problems with the Internet going out and I will be able to post at my leisure, whenever the hell I want! I actually have been reading and reviewing so I have plenty to post. Keep checking back!

Hey Wendy! Yes, last night I was beside myself because we didn't have internet access. My husband begged and pleaded for someone to come out today and they came, thank God!

So now we have a new internet provider and so far so good... but it's only been a few hours, LOL! I hope we have a better experience with the new company than with the old one.

We had no internet - or intermittent service - for a few months last year. So frustrating. It's amazing how dependent we become on the internet for shopping, information, keeping in touch with friends, etc.

Hope they get your connection fixed very soon!

Seriously, it seems to me those companies are doing it on purpose. Nothing ever goes right!! Or works perfectly on the first try. Soooo annoying. You're lucky though, it's your husband who calls to yell at them :D

I hat it when company's like that can't get it together. And then they act like it's no big deal. Good for your hubby for calling and chewing them out!

And at least you have a good excuse why you've not been posting as much. *ahem* I don't. :)

Thanks ladies. We have our new service now and so far, so good. My husband is a fanatic when it comes to the internet and TV, actually any electronics, so he was all over their butts, LOL!
